Shown vertically above, but intended for horizontal display with the engraving plate at the bottom, is an oak model lined with black velvet.

Our Saber Cases are made out of solid hardwood with a multiply Luan plywood back.  We use hand selected Red Oak, American Cherry, and Black Walnut.  Cases are stained with an oil stain and then multiple coats of lacquer are applied with hand sanding for a beautiful, smooth semi-gloss finish.

Although the process of applying lacquer is more tedious, it will outlast polyurethane because over time the multiple coats of polyurethane will peel.  When lacquer is applied it naturally melts the previous coat to allow it to bond together, thus there is not any layering effect or any possibility the finish will peel off. 10 1/2 inches by 39 1/2 inches. Shipping weight: 10 pounds (without glass), 14 pounds (with glass).

Both Blue and Black velvet is offered on this model.  We use the highest grade of “instrument quality” velvet made in the USA by JB Martin.  The velvet is hand stretched over quilting batting to give the sabers a pillow-like background.

Shipping Boxes: Our cases are shipped in a specially designed second box which gives approximately two inches of clearance around an inner box which houses the saber case.  These shipping boxes are a 250 pound weight corrugated cardboard and can be reused over and over again to keep your heirloom safe during your frequent moves.  The inner box has additional corner protection utilizing 'blow out' corner inserts.  These inserts add to the overall protection from damage.

Shipping: Can ship within the Continental USA (CONUS) via UPS Ground or to any APO/FPO address via USPS Parcel Post.  If USPS Parcel Post is used, expect 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.  Priority shipping to APO/FPO is available for an extra cost (please call 1-800-984-2160…customer service option to arrange). Shipping & Handling fee includes insurance.

We make two trips to USAFA/COS each year. The first is the week before Christmas break and the second during Graduation week. If you want cases delivered to you at USAFA/COS, please indicate this in the delivery options selector above. Be advised that standard shipping provides you with a larger shipping box that can be used during your subsequent PCSs. If you select the USAFA Delivery then you will only receive the product box and not the additional shipping box. For an additional cost of $8 on top of standard shipping we can first deliver to USAFA/COS, where you can present the saber case to your loved ones, and we will then onward ship it for you from USAFA. We always stay throughout Graduation Day to facilitate you not having to worry about getting your case and saber safely shipped home. The actual dates and location change each year. Customers choosing any or the USAFA delivery options will be notified.

Please note that sabers are not included with any of our cases.
